Countdown To Summer
We are counting down the days until summer!
Camp
Children ages 8-15 make new friends, develop leadership skills and gain self-confidence, at free overnight camps in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley.
A day at camp is full of fun activities like learning to swim, arts & crafts, archery, learning to play guitar, exploring the outdoors and more!

My favorite part of camp is getting to hang out in the cabins with all my friends – I’ve made lots of new friends already!
Tallulah, 9for Camp

Camp is special to me because I get to see everyone care for each other. At The Fresh Air Fund, we support each other and just like they say, a summer lasts a lifetime.

Friendly Towns
The Fresh Air Fund recently completed a strategic plan to set a vision for the future. As part of that plan, we have reached the difficult decision that it is time to focus our resources on our thriving camp programs and we will no longer be offering the Friendly Towns program moving forward. As we approach our 150th anniversary, we look forward to celebrating its legacy and the remarkable community that made it possible.

Meet Guillermo Sanchez, an international counselor at Camp Tommy from Mexico!
“I wanted to become a counselor because kids need a role model to follow, and I wanted to be that person. We, as counselors, take on a very important role since the campers look up to us. My favorite thing about working here is being able to connect with the kids and show them new things. It’s so important!”
“If you’re passionate to teach kids and make a difference, then you should become a counselor!”
