Con Edison
We are deeply grateful for our long-standing partnership with Con Edison, spanning over 40 years. Each year, Con Edison volunteers serve as tutors and mentors, helping to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists. As generous supporters of the Career Awareness Program, Con Edison hosts our annual Career Fair at their Learning Center in Long Island City and host a series of job shadowings where students have a chance to learn more about careers from Engineering to Research & Design and Media Relations.
Shake Shack
Shake Shack has been partnering with The Fresh Air Fund since 2014. At Manhattan shacks, 5% of sales of their frozen “Pie Oh My” concretes benefit Fresh Air programs. And if that wasn’t enough, each school year they host dozens of students in the Career Awareness Program for job shadowings, teaching our teens about the world of hospitality, restaurant management…and of course how to mix the perfect shake! Employees have also volunteered as “counselors for a day” — doing face painting with campers, participating in sports activities, and even lending a hand at the model farm.
