The College Connections Program: Preparing Students for Success 

The Fresh Air Fund’s College Connections Program (CCP) supports high school students in every step of the college and postsecondary process. From navigating the application process to college tours and financial aid, CCP helps students build a foundation for success in college, postsecondary pathways, and beyond.  

Students meet weekly with volunteer mentors at The Fund’s office, connecting with each other and participating in workshops on topics from goal setting to how to handle social media and how to research scholarships.  

“CCP has helped me develop skills of time management, communication and to just be prepared at all times,” shared Valeria, 17, a CCP participant.  

“The College Connections Program gave me a lot of opportunity that I was never familiar with. It prepared me in so many ways because it gave me confidence and motivation to apply to different schools and different opportunities. Currently, I got accepted to 15 schools all because of the guidance of my mentors,” said Adara, 19, a CCP participant.
