2023 Top Ten Instagram Moments

2023 was full of so many unforgettable memories, and we loved being able to share them with you on our Instagram! Check out some of our top moments from the year. 

10. The Fresh Air Fund Pfeifer Award 

Carla and Amani, Fresh Air alum and Camp ABC staff, were recognized for demonstrating outstanding dedication and vision in service to the young people of New York City with the Pfeifer Award. 

9. Piglets at the Camp Model Farm 

This summer, The Fresh Air Fund welcomed eight new piglets to the Camp Model Farm.  

8. Camp Arrivals

Throughout the summer, hundreds of new and returning campers stepped off the bus with big smiles, excited for the adventure ahead of them! 

7. Fresh Air Fund at Nasdaq

Last April, The Fresh Air Fund was invited to ring the opening bell for Nasdaq! 

6. Celebrating College Acceptances

In June, we celebrated the college acceptances of our students from the College Connections Program. Jayla was accepted to Hampton University to study nursing!  

5. Cooling Off with Ice Cream Thanks to Mariah Carey!

On hot summer days, the best way to cool off is with an ice cream cone! Our Board Member Mariah Carey generously provided campers with this sweet surprise. 

4. The Spring Benefit

At our 2023 Spring Benefit, we celebrated Camp Junior and welcomed inspiring speakers, including the host, Andrea Navedo! 

3. Then and Now: A Friendly Towns Reunion

Some of our favorite moments are seeing our Friendly Towns families reconnect! Fresh Air alum Curtis Bron reunited with his host family, the VanGelders. 

2. The Syncopated Ladies Visit Camp

The Syncopated Ladies joined Camp ABC over the summer for Girl’s Empowerment Day! Campers participated in workshops and learned some new dance moves!

Of course, our number one post for the year is also the best day of the year: the first day of camp! We can’t wait to make more special memories like these in 2024.
